1. Installation¶
In this chapter you will learn how to install the MetaTrader 5 software and the EA.
1.1. MetaTrader 4¶
Installing MetaTrader 4 is only possible when you download the terminal directly from your broker.
1.2. MetaTrader 5¶
Basically, 3 steps are necessary:
Download MetaTrader: Download Link
Run the installation with a double click on mt5setup.exe
Open the program and enter the ICMarkets (or your broker) account details. The third step can be little bit confusing since ICMarkets offers many regulatory servers. Below, you can find a summary of the steps in one image.
1.3. Installing BFG9000 purchased at MQL5¶
After you have purchased the EA from the MQL5 market, please contact me to receive your unique UID code, which will enable you to use the EA.
Please use the MQL5 market to install BFG9000 in your terminal.
Open the market
Open the BFG9000 Product
Click on Download
Finally, you should be able to see BFG9000 EA in the list inside your “Market” group.
Please get proposed configurations from the Zip Package file
1.4. Installing BFG9000 MT4 and MT5¶
Open the data folder
2. Please get Zip Package file and extract the files into the opened folder
Open the navigator
Right-click on “Experts” then click on “Refresh”.
Now you are ready to use BFG9000!
But do not hurry yet. Please have a look at the Configuration Chapter next. There you can see how to taylor the EA risk to your account and your needs.
1.5. Updating BFG9000¶
This Zip Package file contains the newest versions for MT4 and MT5. You will receive updates everytime a new version is released. The news will also refer to this URL.
In order to install the new version, please execute the above steps (installation) again.
